  1. Yep. The old mixed messages thing. This one is still being used today. Other favourites include;
    You should have a blinking light. You should not have a blinking light.
    You should ride on the left side facing traffic. You should not ride against traffic.
    Don’t cycle fast. Don’t cycle slowly.
    You should behave like a car. You’re not a car.
    You should ring your bell. You should never ring your bell.
    It goes on…
