Or recently re-positioned due to heavy usage out of this station?
AKA subsidized bikes for tourists.
We have subsidized sidewalks if they are walking, subsidized roads if they are driving. Why not subsidized bikes? At least they are paying an extra hotel tax. Would you rather they stay away?
Arno; pay attention. Smart destinations around the world make it affordable for locals, but pricey for visitors. Van has it the other way around. Just stop.
Do tourists get charged more for car rental or car share? Why pick on bike share. Note that tourists do pay full price for bike share since locals get a big break by taking out a year membership.
Rate for ‘locals’ is currently $99/year or $0.27 a day (with other discounts options for businesses/community organizations). Rate for ‘tourists’ is $9.75 a day. I’d say that is quite a discount.
