Walking Tours: Hastings Park and the P.N.E., and The False Creek Flats

Join us for a tour of Hastings Park and the P.N.E. fairgrounds to learn about a century of history. Hastings Park has undergone many transformations in order for it to become the entertainment and sporting destination that we see today. We will visit several of the key buildings and sites that highlight its development, evoking moments of sporting glory, architectural and cultural transformation, greening efforts, and the park’s darker history.

The False Creek Flats

The Flats have long evolved from when they were filled in by railroads over a century ago. The area continues to change dramatically as it moves from muddy industrial lands to a coveted development destination. You’ll learn about the continuing evolution of the area and see everything from former waterfront properties, to developing educational campuses, to the potential hospital grounds.
