Sharing the honour with the Smithsonian Institute, the City of Burnaby Archives is the winner of ArchivesNext’s “Best Re-purposing of Descriptive Data” award for “Charting Change:” An Interactive Atlas of Burnaby’s Heritage” initiative.

  1. Fascinating, as I grew up in North Burnaby, on Capitol Hill in the 1970s. There is an image in the archives here of three young boys playing on the anti-aircraft gun that was placed in Confederation Park for the kids to play on, like an old fire engine. Flooded me with memories of playing all over that thing and squinting through its sights. Thanks for sharing this, Gord.
