  1. Was that the “Tie Rack”? I think that store was part of an international chain that has been around since the 1980s. Its stores disappeared from the malls years ago, and I suspect that the Thurlow store was subsisting on the tourist trade (I think it was located next to a smoked salmon store?).
    The few people nowadays who still wear ties to work tend to go for the luxury brands like Burberry, which just opened up shop next door on Thurlow at the Shangri-La.
